The Power of Possibility

Oct 16, 2024

Starting over at any age can be challenging, but I’ve found that the older we are when we make the change, the scarier it can seem.

Even if we feel suffocated by the monotony of our work day and uninspired by our tasks and conversations, we stay because it feels safer than facing the unknown.

The more time passes the more we ask ourselves

“Am I too old to start over?

Is it safe to try something new?

Can I actually start a new career at my age and SUCCEED?”

The desire for change is burning in our hearts but we try to stuff it down, reminding ourselves that there are people who depend on us showing up the same way we have been for the past however-many-years, and any changes we make could disrupt their lives.

We’ve grown so used to our routines, responsibilities, and prioritizing everyone else that we almost feel guilty for entertaining the idea that we can put our own happiness first.

And even if we’re ready to take the leap, we have no idea what the “right” way to get started is.
If this sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

Allow me to share 5 reasons why it’s NEVER too late to start over, and how taking that leap of faith is the best decision for you and the ones that love you.

You Deserve To Experience Fulfillment

1. A life filled with passion and purpose is your birthright.

It's not selfish to want to feel excitement and a deep sense of meaning in your work and life. When you spend your days doing work that brings you joy every area of your life starts to glow up.

You become healthier, physically and mentally.

Happiness is magnetic, and everyone will want to spend more time with you doing things that add to your joy. Your inner light shines and easily attracts new clients that will want to be a part of what you’re doing.

Embracing your dreams is an act of self-love and self-respect. It’s important to tap into your full potential and share your unique gifts with the world.

The world needs the highest version of who you are now, more than ever.

2. Age is an Asset, Not a Limitation: If you’re still breathing, it ain’t over!

Never count yourself out because of your age.

The experience, wisdom, and resilience you've gained over the years are invaluable. You now possess the clarity, confidence, and resources to create a fulfilling second act.

Don't let societal expectations hold you back; the life you’ve lived is a testament to your strength and ability to navigate life's complexities, making you more than capable of successfully pursuing your passions.

3. The Leap Leads to Liberation: The fear of the unknown is natural, but it shouldn't overshadow the thrill of possibility.

Taking the leap allows you to break free from the confines of a life that no longer serves you, and step into a world of infinite potential. It's a chance to rediscover your passions, reawaken your spirit, and live a life that feels authentic and aligned with your true self.

No more waking up every morning dreading the day ahead. You deserve to live a life that you look forward to every day.

4. Courage Grows with Action: Building your courage is key to taking that first step.

Start by taking 1 step toward your goal every day while you’re at your current job until you’re ready to take the leap. That could look like applying for a new position, taking a course, hiring a coach, building your own website or promoting your services to potential clients.

The path will look different for everyone, but the message is the same…

Do 1 thing that moves you forward every single day, without fail.

No more putting your dreams on the back burner. It’s time for you to start living for YOU.
Remember, each small step you take builds confidence and propels you closer to your goals.

5. Your Joy Inspires Others: When you're living a life you love you become a role model for others, demonstrating that it's never too late to pursue happiness and fulfillment.

Your courage and authenticity will empower others to embrace their own dreams and create a ripple effect of positive change in the world.

Your joy will be contagious and people that dream of doing the same will start asking you how you did it.
